oh, children...
i watched my bosses kids for a few hours this week, and let me tell you, they are the most precious things in the entire world. seriously, they are the cutest family ever. greta asked if she could take pictures with my camera, and once i said yes, the whole afternoon was decided.

state fair!
welp, it’s official. i’m back in iowa. to get things off to the right start, i did what any good iowan does the second weekend in august. we went to the FAIR!

i love ikea
i designed a kitchen! it’s true. i mean.. i did a lot of it.

so... many... elevations...
this entire week (i know it’s only wednesday, but still) i have been working on these damn bathroom elevations. soooooooooooooo many tile details. 32 elevations = 24 hours of me clicking my mouse. i think this is why Autocad made their background black…

bowling extravaganza
i went bowling with jaime and elisa tonight. to give you a sense of our bowling abilities, i won the first game with a score of 70.
but our non-bowling luck was better, and we won a free pizza in a raffle we didn’t know we were entered in while we were on our way out the door. SUCCESS!

i found these under a pile of leaves by my front door today. this means spring. awesome. i’m ready to wear skirts and have electric bills under $100.

and this weeks crazy tedious craft was…
an embroidered map of rome! the bottom is a little lopsided… and eventually that will drive me crazy and i will even it out, but right now, i’m pretty pleased!

new skirt day!
i bought a skirt on the internet, and it came in the mail, and it actually fits! so naturally i spent the first 20 minutes in said skirt, trying to take a picture of myself. i look sad, but i’m not, cause i’ve got a new thing!!! it’s just hard to make your face do things when you are sideways…

it’s so nice out! so i went on a bike ride. really, i went on two bike rides, but the first one was to borrow a screwdriver from david and lisa to break into my apartment.
it was really easy… don’t get any ideas though, i don’t usually leave the windows open.
bike ride two was more entertaining, and now my lazy butt is exhausted.

i realized the other day that i can make smores in the toaster oven.
needless to say, i’ve been eating a lot of smores. at some point, it will probably get out of hand, but so far, i’m pleased with my discovery.
i’ve also noticed how antisocial this blog makes me look, and while that’s not completely untrue, i do see people sometimes, and they seem to like me alright.

i baked some tiny pies today.
i didn’t attach the tops well enough (obviously), so they aren’t as aesthetically pleasing as i would like, but they still taste good.
here is the little pie i ruined by dropping my camera on top of it while trying to take a picture of the little pies… i don’t know how it happens…
i don’t like being cold. so it’s unfortunate that i have a job where i have to stand outside. i’ve decided to get myself through the winter by drinking silly amounts of cocoa. i even have little tiny baggies for marshmallows.
we finally got the pictures back at work from the bathrooms i spent most of last summer working on. the tile in this bathroom looks so great.
